Be A Part of the Excitement at the 19th Annual
NAESM National African American Leadership Conference on Health Disparities and Social Justice
June 7-11, 2023

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – NAESM will hold its 19th annual National African American Leadership Conference on Health Disparities and Social Justice at The Westin Peachtree Plaza, Atlanta in downtown Atlanta on June 7-11, 2023. NAESM is grateful for the partnership of the LGBTQ Institute of National Center for Civil and Human Rights in the year’s conference. NAESM is also grateful for the partnership of the HISTORI Scientific Congress. Housed at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS at Yale University, the HIV Implementation Science to Optimize Research Impact (HISTORI) Scientific Congress aims to help Black communities in the United States end the HIV epidemic by providing an inclusive, self-directed platform for Black investigators to connect, learn and engage in collective advocacy. Our partnership with these two important institutions will add to the richness of the offerings available at this year’s conference.

This year’s conference is also supported by a host of sponsors, including Gilead Sciences, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, HIV Vaccine Trials Network, Positive Impact Health Centers, HIV Prevention Trials Network, Johnson & Johnson, Human Rights Campaign, ViiV Healthcare, AIDS United and Pride Net. The conference theme “All Hands-on Deck: Deploying a Syndemic Response to HIV” promises to be provocatively educational as Black gay, bisexual, queer, and same gender loving professionals and our allies convene to strategize solutions for ending the HIV epidemic.

You also don’t want to miss our Thursday evening conference opening reception sponsored by the LGBTQ Institute of the National Center for Civil and Human Rights and catered by Wolfgang Puck. Participants and Atlanta locals will come together on the afternoon of Friday, June 9 to celebrate Black LGBTQ Pride at Pride Fest by NAESM—a block party that will be held at the Loudermilk Conference Center in downtown Atlanta, near to the host hotel.
