Please join us as we work to “Turn the Tide” on HIV, STI, violence against people of transgender experience, racism, and social injustice!

The Call for Abstracts is open at https://naesminc.org/leadership-conference/call-for-abstracts/ and we are anticipating a wide array of innovative ideas, research, and captivating presentations to educate, inform, and through dialogue, find possible solutions to turn the tide to better health outcomes. Abstracts will be accepted as institutes, workshops, or poster presentations. Because there may be multiple submissions on a single topic, the review committee requests that presenters remain flexible. For example, multiple workshops on a single topic may be combined into an institute.

An Institute is an in-depth three-hour session (short break included) designed to build or increase skills. Institutes are encouraged to be interactive and creative. The difference between an institute and a workshop is that an institute allows extra time for in-depth exploration of a specific topic.

A workshop is either a 60-minute or a 90-minute session, with time allotted for questions and answers. It may be conducted by an individual, or multiple presenters. Presenters are encouraged to provide handouts for participants.

A poster presentation is a visual presentation that will be on display during the conference. Poster presentations will only be available for registered presenters whose posters were accepted and approved. Presenters must be present during assigned times at the conference to discuss their work with conference participants.

Early bird registration is now open until August 31, 2021. Register today and take advantage of the $299 conference fee at https://naesminc.org/leadership-conference/registration/

Even as the lives of gay and bisexual black men are not siloed, so too must the approaches to ameliorating our lives be wholistic and integrated. Turning the Tide on HIV also means turning the tide on the social determinants of health that contextualize and influence HIV transmission and HIV health outcomes. This conference will provide an opportunity for gay and bisexual black men, their allies, and their providers to exchange information and strategies to address the full range of health disparities faced by gay and bisexual black men.
