NAESM JANUARY 2022 CONFERENCE IN LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ATLANTA, GEORGIA – NAESM, Inc. Board of Directors and staff, along with Executive Director Alvan Quamina are proud to present next year’s edition of the 18th National African American MSM Leadership Conference on Health Disparities and Social Justice. Conference attendees at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport Hotel January 13-16, 2022, will participate in workshops and plenaries that will address the theme “Our Lives Matter: Turning the Tide Together.”

As the conference returns to an in-person format, it is our hope that coming together will renew and re-energize our commitment to ending the HIV epidemic and galvanize Black gay and bisexual men and their allies to further action.

The Creating Responsible Intelligent Black Brothers (C.R.I.B.B.) Fellowship Program will commence its yearlong training and development fellowship at the conference. The C.R.I.B.B. is a leadership training and mentoring program for Black gay and bisexual men to support and strength their capacity to contribute to local and national efforts in reducing and ending the epidemic of HIV/AIDS, other health disparities, and social injustices, impacting Black communities. For more information about the C.R.I.B.B. Fellowship Program or to apply, visit www.naesminc.org/cribb-fellowship/.

All registrants for the conference are required to be vaccinated and face masks are required.

The Call for Abstracts for the conference is open at https://naesminc.org/leadership-conference/call-for-abstracts/ and we are anticipating a wide array of innovative ideas, research, and captivating presentations to educate, inform, and through dialogue, find possible solutions to turn the tide to better health outcomes. Abstracts will be accepted as institutes, workshops, or poster presentations. Because there may be multiple submissions on a single topic, the review committee requests that presenters remain flexible. For example, multiple workshops on a single topic may be combined into an institute.
