A Bold Vision for Black Trans Liberation

At NAESM Inc., we believe in creating solutions that center community, restore dignity, and invest in the brilliance of Black Trans lives. The TS Madison Starter House is our latest commitment to that vision—an innovative housing initiative designed to support and empower Black Trans women engaged in sex work.

This project is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between TS Madison, a cultural powerhouse and champion for Black Trans visibility, and NAESM Inc., a historic organization dedicated to the health and well-being of Black LGBTQ+ communities. Together, we are creating a sanctuary where Black Trans women can access the resources, stability, and care they need to thrive.

WHY THIS PROJECT MATTERS

Housing insecurity, economic instability, and systemic violence disproportionately impact Black Trans women—especially those engaged in survival economies like sex work. Traditional models of support fail to meet the real needs of our community. This project is different.
